Our History
Midwest Opportunities, Inc. (MOI) was incorporated in June, 1992, with the first homes licensed in
1994. The idea of building an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities in southwest Iowa was started by a local family with a disabled child. Construction of the homes and administration/vocational center began in late 1993 and was completed in September of 1994. By spring of 1995, twelve adults had moved into the two Corning homes and eighteen children into the three Creston homes. On August 1, 2000, MOI purchased a building on Corning's main street and moved their business offices there in 2002. |
